Gulldalit Can You Hear Me, is a dreamy concert where Sara’s clear voice mixes with oriental strings, hangdrum and kalimba by the multi-instrumentalist Stein Austrud, who also produced the record. With his many years of experience working with Saami music as producer and bandmaster, he has a unique understanding of the Sami yoik. With him on stage he has various keyboards and synths, hangdrums, and a amazing kalimba.
Sara has captured the soundscape of the arctic by recording snow crashing under her shoes and reindeer hooves thundering against the ground. In between all of these sounds, you can almost hear the expanses of the Västerbotten mountains, where she has her roots. This, along with the live music and the joik, creates a soundscape that surges into your soul.
The percussion in the music is an important part and with the band is also Børre Flyen from Norway.
Sara and Stein are the foundation of the band. According to need and they bring in different musicians on stage and are happy to make different collaborations with different musicians.
